UAE provides 80 tons of food aid to residents of western neighborhoods in Mukalla

The United Arab Emirates has provided 1,000 food parcels containing 80 tons and 800 kilograms of food aid to the residents of the western neighborhoods in the district of Mukalla in Yemen’s Hadramaut governorate, benefiting 5,000 members of families who are unable.

The aid, which has been distributed to the beneficiaries by the UAE Red Crescent Authority, is part of the UAE’s efforts to alleviate the suffering and normalize the lives of families in difficult situations due to the circumstances in Yemen.

The residents of these neighborhoods, after receiving relief assistance, expressed their thanks to the UAE leadership, government and people for their historic fraternal stand by them in light of the difficult economic conditions in which they live.

It is worth mentioning that the number of food baskets that have been distributed since the beginning of the year 2019, the year of tolerance, amounted to 30,244 food baskets weighing 2,443 tons, benefiting 151 thousand people belonging to families who are unable and affected in Hadramout province.
